Easter is April 5 – just 2 1/2 weeks away! It’s too bad the holiday is so early this year because I know we’ll still have feet of snow on the ground, which will certainly make for an interesting Easter egg hunt, huh? Either way, I still enjoy dressing (and dressing my kids) in spring outfits for the holiday and have put together their outfits already this year. Check out below what Z will be wearing on Easter Sunday! And we’ll be visiting the Easter bunny this weekend so watch for an update on my Instagram account.
1. I found the dress first, then the shoes, and then wanted a coordinating cardigan. There was one at the GAP I liked but it sold out quickly so we opted for this little pointelle knit cardigan from Old Navy.
2. I found this adorable yellow and white striped dress at Zara and knew I could make it into Z’s Easter dress and then she could wear it all summer.
3. I found gloves, hat, and basket purse at the Target dollar section but you can similar here.
4.White tights! An Easter dress staple.
5. Lilac is a color of the season and I thought something purple would pair nicely with the yellow dress so when I saw these Mini Melissa Ultragirl Bow shoes at Nordstom I knew they were it. Mini Melissa shoes are so adorable and comfy for your toddler and come with a sweet, bubble gum smell!
Ps. Here Easter outfit last year and the year before.
I got a couple emails asking about our outfits in the holiday photos I shared earlier this week so I thought I’d put together a post of what the kids wore. I always love to put together holiday outfits for Z and was so excited to now have Baby M this year and the challenge of finding coordinating outfits for them – not too matchy patchy but definitely meant to go together. The first step was finding Z’s dress. She is really into girlie, frilly dresses lately and when I saw this dress by Joyfolie on super clearance on Gilt (I got it for less than $10!) I knew that was her Christmas dress. I also knew I wanted Baby M to be all gussied up in suspenders and a bowtie because, well, what’s cuter than that? So then I found this amazing woman on etsy who makes bows, bowties, and knits beautiful scarves (one of her scarves is definitely on my Christmas list this year!). I loved the tomato plaid for a pretty red and placed my order. I changed out the pink ribbon for red on Z’s dress and then found red sweaters for them both. And well, you know the rest – you’ve seen the photos! Ps. Hover below for links! You probably know that, but thought I’d share as the linked words are not quite as obvious on my new blog design.
1. Red Cardigan crewcuts. 2. Hair bow Lululuvs etsy shop. 3. Dress Joyfolie (from Gilt). 4. Glittery shoes Nordstrom (very similar). 5. Cable knit tights Old Navy.

We love TOMS in this house, I’ve blogged about them for years and my Z has a new pair every time her feet grow, or so it seems. I can’t believe in less than 3 weeks my little Z will start going to Nursery School. SCHOOL. Anything with that word in it sounds so grown-up! She is more than excited and I often hear her trying to tell whoever will listen “I go school!” She asks me to read “The Night Before Preschool” multiple times a day. And she is officially obsessed with her teeny tiny backpack. I decided to order a Swankaroo backpack since they are made for kids under 5 years old – she’s so small and anything we found in stores just made it look like she’d tip over. Anyway, the big first day is all the talk around here so I thought I’d pull together and share with you what she’ll be wearing for her first day of nursery school.

My Z is a girly girl, that comes as no surprise. So, once she realized how much she loved wearing dresses, she has requested them non-stop! Since most of our days include playground and backyard playing (sand! dirt! mud!) they aren’t always the best choice, but she does have a small collection of cute, wear-anywhere dresses. Here is one of her faves:
Hair bows – Forever 21 (there are 2 because we’ve been doing a lot of pigtails lately) / Blue Dress – Tucker & Tate (similar) / Bike shorts (that don’t usually show, but are worn to cover up her diaper, she’s a lady!) – Target / Silver Sandals – Saltwater (these are the best! They’re cute enough to be dressy but durable and waterproof enough to wear anywhere – including puddles and splash pads)
I started this post about Z’s springiest outfit this past weekend when I knew for sure it was safe to declare “spring has officially arrived and stayed!” Well, yesterday was 45 degrees, today is not much better, boo. It’s still time to talk about springtime outfits on blogs though because although we’re all still wearing coats and socks and even hats sometimes here in the Northeast, no one wants to talk about that anymore – so springtime it is! Here is my Z’s most adorable springtime outfit I thought I’d share with you. The Aztec print pants are just to die for! Not on a day we go to the playground, that’s for sure – but everyone needs a little springtime outfit full of color, right? And hopefully one day soon (in June?) we can officially declare spring is here to stay.

Easter is always a great time to break out your springiest clothes and get dolled up for your days’ festivities whether there is church involved, maybe an egg hunt, hopefully some ham…this year we have 3 egg hunts on the horizon for Easter Sunday and since my Z has been obsessed with all the plastic “egg-ies” I’ve brought up from storage in the basement, I think she will really enjoy them all!
Back to the springtime outfit though. Last year, I must admit, my Z had the most perfect Easter Sunday outfit, do you remember? This year, since she is in LOVE with her spring jacket, I decided to build her outfit around that – living in New England you never know what you’ll get for Easter weather but I assume a jacket will be necessary. We actually found this dress at GAP Outlet months ago on the same trip as her brown boots and I’ve managed to keep it unworn since then so it can be nice and stain free for Easter. We’ll pair the dress with some white tights and her dressiest shoes. Oh, and a pair of bunny ear hair clips from the Target dollar section – I couldn’t resist!
