Next up for an Easter outfit – baby M! Since I already did the suspenders and bow-tie look for him for Christmas, I decided to go a little more low-key for this holiday. I found the sperry top-siders for him before he was even born and knew they’d be perfect for an Easter outfit. Then I found the little seersucker pants that were just – seersucker pants for a baby so how cute is that? Then I threw in some accessories and this adorable Easter outfit was made.
1. A bunny hat, because how can a baby not wear a bunny hat on his first Easter? 2. A basic gray zip up sweater from Zara. 3. Linen shirt from baby GAP that he can wear all summer with the sleeves buttoned up to make short sleeves. 4. Blue striped seersucker pants, these from Ralph Lauren are similar to the ones I found. 5. Adorable felt carrot basket from Paper Source for gathering eggs. 6. Adorable baby Sperry top-siders that I actually found on clearance at TJ Maxx (lucky find!).
I got a couple emails asking about our outfits in the holiday photos I shared earlier this week so I thought I’d put together a post of what the kids wore. I always love to put together holiday outfits for Z and was so excited to now have Baby M this year and the challenge of finding coordinating outfits for them – not too matchy patchy but definitely meant to go together. The first step was finding Z’s dress. She is really into girlie, frilly dresses lately and when I saw this dress by Joyfolie on super clearance on Gilt (I got it for less than $10!) I knew that was her Christmas dress. I also knew I wanted Baby M to be all gussied up in suspenders and a bowtie because, well, what’s cuter than that? So then I found this amazing woman on etsy who makes bows, bowties, and knits beautiful scarves (one of her scarves is definitely on my Christmas list this year!). I loved the tomato plaid for a pretty red and placed my order. I changed out the pink ribbon for red on Z’s dress and then found red sweaters for them both. And well, you know the rest – you’ve seen the photos! Ps. Hover below for links! You probably know that, but thought I’d share as the linked words are not quite as obvious on my new blog design.
1. Red Cardigan crewcuts. 2. Hair bow Lululuvs etsy shop. 3. Dress Joyfolie (from Gilt). 4. Glittery shoes Nordstrom (very similar). 5. Cable knit tights Old Navy.

I am jealous of my toddler’s new jeans.
Ok, let me take a step back. I remember when my niece was very little she always had the best jeans. Turns out my sister always got her denim at Lucky – it’s cute, it wears well, and lasts through baby and toddler crazy. This Christmas, my sister gave my Z a cute pair of Lucky jeans – which was also around the time I decided to make the switch from leggings to denim for my Z as she was plowing through pairs of leggings during playtime – jeans are just more durable.
Anyway, now back to my original statement! We popped into the Lucky Brand store at the mall the other day and they were having an unbelievable sale where a lot of kids items were on sale for $6.97!! We got a few items for next year and the adorable jeans below. They’re a little big on her so they’ll last a while – we’ll certainly get our $7 worth! And aren’t they cute? They’re skinny jeans with adorably placed distressed spots. I paired these new jeans with a little blazer hand-me-down from the same cousin, her fave boots, and of course…a hair bow.

What a week. I don’t have much else to say about what happened here in Boston earlier this week other than we are traumatized, praying for those affected and all the while trying to look on the bright side. We tried to maintain normalcy in our house all week for our Little Z even though we were riveted by the news and updates as they came in. This article helped a lot, I suggest you read!
Here are some fun moments that happened around here this week:
We continued our French Food Week and made coq au vin for dinner Sunday night. It was delicious – we used this recipe.
Our Z LOVES the swim lessons she started recently, here’s a cute shot as she was getting out of the pool. This is a Daddy/daughter activity but I went this week to take some photos and video.
I also took Z to get her 18 month portraits taken even though she’s not quite 18 months yet (2 weeks!). We managed to get some really great shots, it’s so hard to choose which ones to buy!!
We went out to dinner and had these awesome calamari fries – so good! I also met some friends for dinner on Wednesday when over 50 restaurants in the Boston area contributed 10-50% of their sales to the victims of the Marathon Monday attack. We had a great night and I didn’t get any good photos to share with you…perhaps because we seemed to polish off 2 pitchers of sangria? Anyways…
Have a great weekend, here are some links for you!
This little printer is so stinkin cute.
Underwater spinning, this is so cool.
A day in the life of J. Crew’s Jenna Lyons.

A new DVF for GAPKids line launches April 25th, can’t wait! Here’s a cute video to preview the pieces.
Florals are everywhere right now, have you noticed? You can *literally* get any form of fashion in a floral pattern right now. I personally think we should all tread lightly with this floral trend but there are some pieces that are just lovely. Here’s a little round up of some florals that I’ve been coveting and next week I’ll have a “What to Wear – Florals” to share.
