What to Wear – Any Season
I found this great skirt on clearance at Banana Republic recently – cotton, navy with cream stripes – and I had to have it. I thought it would be great for our trip to Puerto Rico, and it was! But then when we got home from vacation and I hadn’t totally unpacked I put it on with a sweater, tights, and boots and realized I found the perfect across-all-seasons skirt. I thought I’d share my outfit ideas with you.

Or cold!
1. Camel coat from J. Crew; 2. Paul Smith sweater; 3. Scarf from Anthropologie; 4.kate spade bag; 5. Winter White tights from Asos; 6. Skirt; and 7. Madewell boots.
$10 Valentine’s Day Centerpiece
I thought it would be fun to make a Valentine’s Day centerpiece much like the one I made last Easter using conversation heart candy. I found the candy on sale 2/$6 and flowers for $4, not bad and so easy to put together:
![]() |
|
| All you need: Bouquet of flowers, 2 bags of conversation heart candy (I used the large ones), 1 large case, and 1 smaller vase that will fit in the large case with 1/2 an inch space around it. |

| Put water in the smaller vase and place inside the larger vase. Start filling around the smaller vase with the candy. |
![]() |
| Make sure the “conversation” of the hearts are facing out. Some of these sayings are just ridiculous… |

| Arrange your flowers in the smaller vase and voila…$10 centerpiece! |
Three Kinds of Oatmeal Cookies
When snow storm Nemo had us house-bound over the weekend, we absolutely had to bake cookies. We decided to make a full batch of oatmeal cookies 3 ways: traditional oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip oatmeal, and my favorite cranberry white chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.
Start with your favorite Oatmeal Raisin cookie recipe.

| Divide the batter into 3 bowls and add about 1/3 to 1/2 C of topping into each. *If you’re doing cranberry and white chocolate chip, add 1/4 C each of those. |

| Mix (or pretend mix as the case is here). |

| Scoop. Bake. |

| Cool (if you can wait…). |

| Enjoy! |
Couple Things…
Since we’ll be stuck inside all weekend with this crazy “epic” snowstorm coming our way, we decided to head out last night to run errands and grab dinner. We tried Bobby’s Burger Palace – delicious! And if you like onion rings, they are out of this world. We’ll be back!
Have a great weekend, here are some fun links:

I was searching Amazon for bibs for our baby the other day and came across this…for those that know how often I stain my clothes, I may just get one…
What to Wear – Valentine’s Day Date
With Valentine’s Day only one week from today, I thought I’d put together a festive outfit for your night out (or in!) with your love.
1. Tie-front shirt (sold out, similar here); 2. Heart pin from Ban.do; 3. Dior red nail polish to coordinate with your top; 4. Lip clutch from Aldo; 5. Cupid’s arrow Juicy Couture bracelet; 6. Skirt from Topshop at Nordstrom; 7. “I Finally Found You” Valentine’s Day card from Anthropologie; 8. Chocolate roses for your love; and 9. Seychelles heals.

Cream Cheese Brownies
We had a craving for brownies the other day and decided to use our go-to-from-scratch brownie recipe but add a delicious cream cheese topping to make them even more decadent. Must be eaten with a glass of milk.
We used this recipe for the cream cheese topping that we’ve used before.

| Cream cheese. |
![]() |
| Mix cream cheese, egg, sugar, and vanilla. |

| Dollop onto brownie batter in baking dish. |

| Use a butter knife to swirl the cream cheese into the brownie batter. |
Bake, cool, etc… enjoy!
Monday Outfit
I got this fabulous new coat from Zara and I am wearing it today even though it’s not quite warm enough. I love the army green front and cream sleeves that are actually a textured fabric, the contrast make it such an interesting jacket. I’m wearing it with my Urban Outfitters skinny leg jeans, brown boots, cute gray sweater, red nails, and a simple necklace – similar to the one below. Have a great week!
Couple Things…
Our poor little munchkin has been sick all week so we’re looking forward to the weekend to rest up and have a little fun! Enjoy the Superbowl Sunday night, since the Pats aren’t in it this year, I am focusing more on the snacks and not the game.
Have a great weekend, here are some fun links for you:
